Tempe, Arizona is home to Arizona State University and located in the heart of the Valley of the Sun. I am no stranger to Tempe, graduating from both high school and University. Many years later, I am back to walk down memory lane and explore my hometown. Tempe is no longer just a college town in the shadow of Phoenix and Scottsdale, this little town has grown up! Visiting twice in the last two months, I have discovered some new and wonderful activities and am reminded of the spots that are better than ever. Here are my recommendations for the Best of Downtown Tempe Activites, Shopping, and Dining. Continue reading “Best of Downtown Tempe, Arizona”
Lapis Spa is a tropical wonderland of spa goodness located in the Fontainebleau resort in Miami, Florida. This adults only (18 years and over) luxury spa is exactly what I needed recently. Lapis spa has been on my spa wish list for awhile, so when I unexpectedly ended up in Miami, it was too good to pass up. Much to my delight, I was able to reserve a same day Saturday appointment.I really needed spa time so I gave myself a quick tour, taking a few photos and videos, then I got down to the business of relaxing.
The spa is gorgeous! The spa is located entirely inside, with large windows for natural light and palm trees in view. Continue reading “Lapis Spa at Fontainebleau Resort Miami, Florida”

Columpio de Ceiba also known as the Ceiba swings are a perfect example of a place that is made more popular from Instagram, but was a bit of a disappointment in real life.
The swings are located in Roosevelt Road, a former US Navy base in the East coast town of Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Mid way between Fajardo and Humacao, Ceiba is an easy drive along the 53 toll road. There are two exits for Roosevelt Roads in Ceiba.
The swings are very popular with locals and tourists alike thanks to Instagram. Any day you visit will likely require a wait for the photo op on the swings. Try going early to avoid the crowds and the best lighting. Continue reading “Exploring the Ceiba Swings in Puerto Rico”
