A welcome retreat this year (and any year, really) for me is the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, California. Right on the edge of the drive versus fly decision from Phoenix, San Diego, California is a quick trip. When it is just too darn hot, California is close by. The November trip is our third visit to Carlsbad this year, each was a long-weekend out of town.
The Park Hyatt Aviara is a luxury resort with an amazing spa, great restaurants, good family pool, and a 21 and over adult tranquility pool where we spend most of our time.
Everything is located on the resort property for the perfect little get-a-way. Spectacular views, great dining, fabulous service, and the Aviara will melt any stress away!
There are orchids at every turn, for a distinctive orchid aroma and elegance throughout the property.
The rooms are big and luxurious, many with fantastic views from the balcony! The weather is perfect for morning coffee on the balcony (in slippers), lounging by the pool, and between spa appointments in the spa relation room.
The spa is a bigger, better version of the sister Hyatt spa in Scottsdale. The spa services are incredible! Large steam room, sauna, and hot tub, plus this fabulous (appropriately named) relaxation room. Light snack, tea and refreshing beverages are available through the spa visit.
If you do leave the resort, there are plenty of great activities, including the Encinitas Mediation Gardens, Pacific Ocean Beach, USS Midway aircraft carrier, and more great dining.
The Aviara in Carlsbad, California is a world-class resort just a hop, skip, and short flight away!
No special consideration was given to me other than being a paying guest at this property.
I love rooms that have balconies, especially when your view is that great! Sounds like a hotel that has it all, even a spa. I’d definitely consider staying here if I visit Carlsbad one day.
Wow this hotel looks amazing! That view from the balcony is to die for and the pool looks incredible. Definitely sounds like an amazing place to spend the weekend!
Sounds like you had a great stay 🙂 Love visiting beautiful hotels in beautiful locations 🙂
We loved this hotel so much, we went back 3 times in under a year! Fantastic West coast getaway.
I ma a huge fan of the Hyatt hotels. This resort looks like my kind of place too. The rooms are big, it has a spa and its family-friendly. Now I know where to stay in Carlsbad!
Wow it looks like a great place to kick back in the shade near the pool. I love the look of the room, that bath looks very inviting.
Looks like a perfect getaway. I like that there is a family-friendly area and one where adults can hang out. That orchid photo is gorgeous- I am imaging the scent of them right now.
The entire property is filled with orchids, the smell is divine!
This hotel looks lovely. I love a good spa hotel, especially one with a hot tub. Nice guide to the area too – I’d like to wander in the mediation gardens after my spa. Ah the dream!
I myself am fond of Hyatt properties. They have some very good ones in India too. I love staying in big and luxurious rooms. And yes, I enjoy morning coffee standing silently on the balcony, whether it is my home or a hotel. Looks like I am going to enjoy this property.
This is a beautiful hotel. It has everything you need, a spa, a decent sized swimming pool and no doubt a fitness room. The bath and bathroom is a decent size too. Worth a try on my next roadtrip.
This looks so lovely and relaxing. I would love to spend a few days of rest and relaxation here. At first when I read Carlsbad I though this would be somewhere in Germany.
