2025 Pana Festival Mi Panapen Food Truck

Celebrate the amazing breadfruit (pana) at the annual Festival de Pana in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Held during the last weekend of August, the Pana Festival features food and drinks made from the amazing breadfruit.

The festival is free entry with singers, musicians, and dancers providing live entertainment all weekend.

Pana is available year round, and the largest harvest for pana season is June to September.

Farmers are selling local produce, including the celebrated pana. There are multiple areas for local artisans to display and sell jewelry, artwork, candles, and souvenirs.

There are pana tacos, pana stuffed cups, pana flan, pana desserts, and pana drinks!

A few of the food vendors accept credit cards, while most are cash or ATH Movil (the local cash app for Puerto Rico debit cards). I did not see any ATMs nearby so plan ahead and bring cash with you.

This weekend is hot and humid, but the real danger is the sun. While there are a few large tents for shade, most of the festival covers the hot asphalt parking lot. Some very smart attendees bring umbrellas and hats (we did not bring either).

Come hungry and plan at least a couple hours to enjoy the entertainment and delicious food featuring traditional Puerto Rican cuisine and some new & very creative culinary creations with pana.

There is a small playground for children, shaded areas to cool off and relax, as well as an incredible view from the hilltop.

Parking is limited on-site and the side roads leading up to Loma de la Niña Mariana property are soon filled with vehicles parking anywhere there is space. A few enterprising businesses, churches, and residences offer parking for a small fee.
